Critic Reviews for Mr. Robot Season 3
All Critics (20) | Top Critics (10) | Fresh (19) | Rotten (1)
If you are willing to engage, willing to challenge yourself, it's some of the most fascinating television happening right now. Though given the past two seasons, that's hardly at all a twist.
That's the problem with Mr. Robot: It feels revolutionary until you stop and think about it.
Reality, as we know it, is frightening. But as viewed through the lens of "Mr. Robot," Esmail makes the fictionalized version of our increasingly dystopic existence palatable, even exciting.
Season 3 of Mr. Robot is a masterpiece, ballasting the global ambitions of season 2 while sharpening back to the meticulous build of season 1.
There is enough there, especially as the season gets going, to feel like Season 3 could ultimately rectify the issues of the past.
After a rocky sophomore season, the thriller has restocked the ingredients it needs to fulfill its potential again.
This has perhaps turned out to be the most oddly hopeful season of the show to date.
Season three is everything Mr Robot was promising to be in its first season and now lives up to the standard set by Malek's exceptional lead performance.
If you watched and loved the show's first season, and have not got around to the second season, you can skip it and just watch the third season, which, like the first, has narrative motion. The second season is inert.
Mr. Robot is good again. Very good. And that is a very good thing. Play me out, Leon.
Real Life or Fantasy?: While attempting to distill the confusing complexities of Mr. Robot down to digestible size, Queen's epic ballad "Bohemian Rhapsody" comes to mind.
Compelling character work, reality bending social commentary, techno-suspense and mystery. If it ain't broke, don't hack it.
Audience Reviews for Mr. Robot: Season 3

Jan 07, 2021Mr. Robot is one of the best TV series I've ever seen. I consider it to be on par with the likes of Breaking Bad. It blew my goddamn mind. It's original, unique, and unpredictable. There isn't any other show like this. The story is excellent and you're always wondering what will happen next. I cared about pretty much all the characters. Solid performances from the actors across the board, especially from Rami Malek. Mr. Robot starts on a high note, continues on a high note, and ends on a high note. The quality and the consistency never falter at all. I fucking love it. Go watch it right now.

Sep 13, 2020The third and the best of the first three, and what an actor is Rami Malek!

Aug 23, 2020This season is what gets everything back in track, the previous season was (in my opinion) just a mid-point where we get to see and know our characters even better, putting them through stuff that we didn't imagine possible. This season (in the other hand), gets our characters back in their "comfort zones", just adding more stuff that they have to fight through; this season blew my mind ;my favorite thing about it is that it doesn't lose your attention at any moment, it is so interesting. It is perfectly written, directed, acted, produced, shot, etc. The ending of this season is one of my favorite season finales of all time, really satisfying. My grade: A+

Aug 06, 2020I am not one to watch TV shows. I usually lose interest after about 2 or 3 episodes. But this one? It is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. I think I must have watched it in 2 days.

Jul 14, 2020Mr Robot is a very CREATIVE, unique, emotional, mind blowing and shocking tv show that is filled with some plot twists that will blow your mind, I was personally so shocked of how amazing this tv show is. Season 1 of Mr Robot is one of its best seasons and it's rare to find a tv show that the first season of it is one of its best, Mr Robot even starts off with an amazing episode and that's episode 1 season 1, an incredible episode that I really enjoyed. Season 2 is its worst and it was really boring especially the first 4 or 5 episodes of the season. It will make you think the show is just ruined and the next seasons will be boring and the story will just be boring as well. Felt like the whole season wasn't even necessary but I would call season 2 that it was good compared to the other 3 seasons of the show that were excellent, that's why I said it's the show's worst season. There were a few episodes that saved season 2 and I enjoyed watching them. Season 3 and 4 were absolutely shocking and mind blowing, some episodes in these two seasons, I can talk about them for hours. eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00 (Season 3 Episode 5) was an absolute masterpiece, the fact that it was a "one shot" is just amazing, you are there in every single thing that happens without cutting from a scene to the other, the camera never cuts. And it's a thing that I have seen in a very few movies but have never seen in any tv show. These things make Mr Robot a "unique" tv show. Mr robot can make you feel nervous, the whole episode without having any conversations or anything to say in the episode and yes I'm talking about the amazing episode called: 405 Method Not Allowed (Season 4 Episode 5) that doesn't have any single conversations in it except for 2 sentences maybe, one in the beginning and one at the very end. The final episode that I'll talk about is: 407 Proxy Authentication Required (Season 4 Episode 7), this episode itself is just a freakin "MASTERPIECE". An episode that has an amazing music score, an episode that has an amazing cinematography and colors that match with what Eliot is feeling. An episode that has an amazing cast: Rami Malek (Elliot Alderson), Christian Slater (Mr. Robot), Gloria Reuben (Krista Gordon) and Elliot Villar (Fernando Vira). This episode isn't just the best episode that I have seen in Mr Robot or any tv show, it is one the best things that I have seen in my whole life. Hats off. Mr Robot's amazing cinematography is a thing that I have never seen in any other movie or tv show before, and if you have seen the show you'll know what I'm talking about. The music score was excellent and it builds up feelings inside of you, the customs were so cool, the black hoodie of Elliot, the shorts of Darlene, the $6,000 suit of Tyrell and the hat with the jacket of Mr Robot. The script and conversations were so deep and genius. And finally the cast of Mr Robot, I really don't know what to say about this part because all of them are literally amazing and I can't talk about all of them or I'll spoil a lot of stuff, I'll just talk about Rami Malek, he gave us a performance that's one of the best, his acting was so very deep, he acts with his face, eyes and everything, it was just shocking. There are a few stuff that I really wanted an answer to and that's the thing that made me want to watch a little more of Mr Robot and I'm talking about an episode or maybe 15 more minutes or something, unfortunately, I can't say what they are because i don't want to spoil anything but for those who watched Mr Robot will defiantly get me. The ending of Mr Robot is very emotional, I really expected something else though, something bigger especially that the show had a lot of plot twists that were shocking but I wouldn't call the ending a very bad one I would just say that I expected more. Mr Robot is a masterpiece and for sure one of the best tv shows that ever exists. Great job to every single one who worked on it and to Sam Esmail, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Jul 06, 2020my words don't matter but this is a show you shouldn't sleep on

Jun 30, 2020Strong comeback after season 2. The atmosphere of the series changes from season to season, similarly to how seasons in real life change. The fight against capitalism is on hold, but the relationships between characters is more robust than ever. This series speaks the truth about society and without a doubt my favorite part are the hacking bits done in Linux Kali. Such a breath of fresh air to see it done in a more realistic fashion as opposed to hacking done in Hollywood movies.

Jun 23, 2020Incredible, fantastic show.
-
Jun 10, 2020And... we're back on track! I absolutely loved it. Plus the photography got even better. There were some scenes so esthetically perfectly balanced that I almost forgot to follow the storyline.
