It’s a 21st-century update of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and throughout there is empathy for all, including the forgotten victim, Jamie Caroll. Go to Full Review

It’s unusual for filmmakers to base their project on a work of nonfiction and then make a mockery of their source material, but Messrs. Bailey and Barbato have some bitchy fun with “A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City." Go to Full Review

Murder in Glitterball City can't see the forest for the 'T' as it takes a sensationalistic approach more appropriate for a mockumentary in examining the sordid circumstances leading to a drug-fueled murder in a disco ball wasteland. Go to Full Review

Playing like a Christopher Guest-directed Dateline mockumentary, Murder In Glitterball City struggles with a jarring mix of tones and narrative techniques that ultimately feel tacky given the brutal reality of the crime. Go to Full Review

From an entertainment and humor perspective, the additions of eccentric residents are wonderful support for the storytelling, but if you’re only looking for a fact-based, clear-cut investigation type of documentary, this will waste your time. Go to Full Review

Drew M. @Stonehands211 Feb 23 A very interesting documentary with interesting editing choices. Makes it kind of confusing but in the end it’s in a good way imo. See more Drew W @dreww504 Feb 21 Very disorganized and confusing documentary. They included scenes with people from a jewelry store that had nothing to do with the plot and then never explained why they spent 15+ minutes talking about them. Could’ve been 45 min total or shorter. Way too long and disorganized. Also portrays my home city of Louisville in a very negative light. Do not recommend. See more Read all reviews
