Mal B @EmB1973 Aug 8 Watched 3 episodes, hoped characters would develop but they remained 2D and unlikeable. Guessed who did it, read Wikipedia to check theory about murderer, remaining episodes sound as lame as 1st 3. Stars are for scenes of Sydney Harbour. See more Colin S @RT17794460 Jul 18 I'm half way through it and I'm thinking that might be it. Its just so plodding and uninteresting. See more Gordon T @RT15096267 Jul 2 Fun show detective show, lots to like. It's more fun once you realise the detectives are mostly incompetent and all the clues they get pure luck, one in a million rock fragments, I mean, really what are the chances. The final episode has them finding a video of the murder, again, by chance and they all stand around watching it and go "Ahhh that's who did it", as they had no idea themselves. It ended with me laughing at the show more than with it. I'd watch another series, hopefully they can solve it with some good ol' police work next time. See more LD T @RT13979710 Jun 24 I am truly embarrassed by some of the Australian cast's acting. Especially in front of Joanne Froggatt and John Bradley. Kirsty Sturgess apparently has a Masters in Acting for Screen but it feels more like year 9 drama performance night. Chris Alosio is hilarious and great as D.C. Paea Leniu but gets hardly any lines/screen time. The script may have been written by ChatGPT. How did this get made? The production cost must have been exorbitant with all those landmark Sydney locations. Very disappointing after watching The Survivors immediately prior, which was outstanding in so many ways. See more Magnus A @RT19500319 Jun 20 The lead actors are pretty good, some of the supporting players are terrible. I like that some of the key characters are not that likeable. John Bradley is good he seems to play his familiar character - charming, bumbling, intelligent - and does it well. Kirsty Sturgess makes her character prickly and interesting, beautiful ambitious woman playing down to be taken seriously - slightly cliched but well played. Murder, find the people with motive and opportunity... The first couple of episodes were sluggish, I'm on 4 now and enjoying it. A classic detective story, somewhere between Morse and Poirot - seems to me this has plenty potential. See more Trudy O @Min67 Jun 15 Up to episode 2, hoping for some improvement as I like a lot of the actors in the series but it’s really not getting any better unfortunately. Terrible acting.
