Wade W @wade_says 06/19/2024 Parallels is a little known show you can watch on Disney Plus. I'd do it now before they remove it, as they have with so many others. It's actually in French, but you have the choice of watching it with an English dub, which is what I did. As others have said, it's like a less mature version of Netflix's 'Dark'. The cinematography is stellar and the entire cast does a wonderful job. It has a mind-bending story that focuses on parallel universes with time travel elements. I like the visual aesthetic of the show with the rainy and slightly dark color palette. The police get involved when it's suspected that something isn't quite right in their small town. Once I watched the first episode, I couldn't stop from binging it. The story is gripping and even with the English dub, the actors are fantastic and really sell the story. I hope Disney takes notes and makes more shows like this. I hope they see how much of a cult following it has. It gets very confusing kind of but it keeps you guessing and trying to figure out the mystery yourself, the people that were hired to play these child actors and then the teenage actors and then the adult actors, are absolutely fantastic the entire cast. It is from France, so there is dubbing, but it's not terrible to where it throws you off. The only thing is Viktor and Sam has some of the worst parents in the world, and I get that's how we were supposed to feel about them, but I ain't gonna lie to you if I ever met these two in real life I would cuss them out just because of how they played these parts, they are horrible parents.  See more Alex P @RT26475810 08/21/2022 Cool show! Really. I've binged watching it and I had a very good time. The plot goes naturally even though it is all science-fiction. Nothing is messy or having a huge logically gap that would prevent you from following it. Just relax. All characters are perfectly developed. I will definitely return to it one day. There is nothing spectacular in it, that is clear, but it is nicely done. It could have been better with the same material, sure, but that unpretentiousness is charming actually. The only way it could have started worse is if someone was puking. Then the show got worse and made me want to puke. Don't waste your time on this crap from the rabid cartoon mouse. Also, the dynamics between the main characters is very believable. Definitely a recommendation from me, for anyone who has Disney +. See more 04/05/2022 I think that the series is exciting. We have such an incredible concept that can be more developed in the following seasons if we have the opportunity to see more. The sciences and physic represented it has a reasonable basis, but sometimes we lack information and holes. For example, the part of that Earth 1, we are in the present, and on Earth 2, we pass four years. We need more explication to have a reasonable timeline of the story and know more about the concept of time and space. The target audience is kids/teenagers, but it is an excellent series to see with the family and have a good time with. I hope that they keep improving with time and see more of the characters' story.
