Set in Strasbourg, Reformed is attentive to personal stakes yet rarely overdoes the bittersweet or sitcom crises. This low-key, thoughtful show is a welcome change of pace. Go to Full Review

Reformed is a lot more entertaining than this doctrinal back-and-forth would suggest. The show is ultimately about people feeling confused as they face life at the moments that most require an injection of meaning. Go to Full Review

In addition to being charming, “Reformed” is interesting. Sitcom shenanigans nestle alongside philosophical musings. Go to Full Review

Cindy M @CindyCindy May 26 Reformed is a witty, wise, and funny take on gender, prejudice, religion, faith, society and culture. If all that sounds serious (it is), but Reformed takes a cockeyed view and makes it so appealing you will want to binge watch! Acting is subtle as many (not USA) productions are and even the broadly drawn characters are played with an innocence that makes them feel authentic. Elsa Guedj the lead has a beautifully written role and she acts it naturally but with a suggested but never, ever obvious wink and nod to the situations and circumstances. See more Read all reviews
