Sagwa is an inquisitive siamese kitten living in historic China. Her older brother Dongwa is always there to lend a hand, her little sister Sheegwa has a giggle and her best friend Fu-Fu the bat comes to her rescue. The band of buddies also befriend the Alley Cats and The Mice in an effort to escape the rules of the Foolish Magistrate. The series exposes kids to Chinese culture and the value of family culture.
