Designer Sarah Richardson has fronted many big projects on HGTV Canada, but the one she undertakes in this series is her most ambitious yet. Together with husband Alex and their two young daughters, Sarah builds an off-the-grid family dream home in Creemore, Ont. She juggles being a mother, a business owner, and now, the unique challenge of sharing the role of general contractor with Alex on the yearlong project. Her longtime collaborator, Tommy Smythe, helps Sarah design each room, and fellow HGTV Canada stars Mike Holmes and Mike Holmes Jr. make guest appearances, providing Sarah and the family with much needed advice.
