All Critics (20) | Top Critics (7)

There's a core of Tarantino-esque fun and excitement to the action.

This plot is a hard one to master, and I hate that I didn't get to see Sweet/Vicious, which was cancelled after only one season, figure it out.

May 8, 2020 | Full Review…

Sweet/Vicious is escapism that doesn't let you escape, and even if that doesn't sound like fun, it really is.

Feb 28, 2019 | Full Review…

It's refreshingly well-written and it doesn't sugarcoat.

Jan 31, 2017 | Full Review…

It was filled with nuance and warmth, blood and understanding, along with being completely unflinching in what it believed and demanded that you be that too.

Apr 15, 2020 | Full Review…

For all its silliness, it's also unflinching.

Feb 28, 2019 | Full Review…

Sweet/Vicious is here to shine a disinfecting light on all that trash, even if all it gets is this single season.

The series is light and fun without being frivolous. [Full Review in Spanish]

Sweet/Vicious is the Teen Vogue of liberal TV - frequently judged and inevitably dismissed because of its appearance, but for those willing to listen, it's nirvana.

It's what the best stories can be: current and daring.

Feb 28, 2019 | Full Review…

Sweet/Vicious is actively trying to dispel tropes about female sexuality on multiple fronts, and it already feels like they're one step ahead of so many people in the game.

Complete garbage and offensive to males. This show takes the myth about college campus rape culture to the extream. It's an SJW propaganda show, avoid. Very cringy.

The best show you're not watching. This show balances perfectly a heavy and delicate subject like rape and the comedic relief much needed for the target it aims to. I absolutely loved it and I really hope there will be a second season!
