A "Twilight Zone" type of show, this horror anthology series, produced by noted horror filmmaker George A. Romero, explores the macabre, but like its predecessor, always with a twist. Low budget but with a huge cult following, the show explores horror and supernatural story lines and guest-stars several veteran actors. Many "Tales From the Darkside" episodes are adapted from stories written by well-known authors, including Stephen King, Harlan Ellison, Clive Barker and John Cheever. This series was followed by a feature film, "Tales From the Darkside: The Movie."

03/23/2021 I went with 3 1/2 stars for this show/series, this show is so good I got it on d.v.d. boxset for Christmas a few years ago. It used to be on reruns on t.v. a few years back then they took it off t.v. I searched everywhere for this show online/YouTube with little to no luck, so I ended up getting it to own. Reminds me of The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits combined. Imho this is such a underground hard to find show from back in the day that still calls out to be seen and wtached. Go give this show some love and give it a watch. Any horror fan will not be left unhappy imho. If you are a long time fan or just finding out about this show give it a chance. You may be also surprised to see some famous popular faces pop up in episodes here and there, Love this show one of my faves 3 1/2 stars. See more Read all reviews
