What to Know

Critics Consensus

Teachers desperately needs a substitute for its forced, inane humor.

Nothing about the pilot of "Teachers" is particularly eye- or ear-opening. It merely exudes a sitcom's forced but relatable charm. Go to Full Review
Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe 10/16/2019
[Justin] Bartha is appealing in a Paul Rudd kind of way, and Shahi has a likably easy comic manner. But on ''Teachers," they are trapped in a sort of comedy detention and forced to deliver bad jokes without groaning. Go to Full Review
Alessandra Stanley New York Times 10/16/2019
"Teachers" has appealing moments. For all the predictable one-liners, pratfalls and canned laughter clotting the pilot, there are some funny riffs down the line. Go to Full Review
Scott D. Pierce Deseret News (Salt Lake City) 10/16/2019
Good TV shows make you believe the characters are real people - watching "Teachers" is watching a bunch of actors trying desperately to pull this off. They can't. Go to Full Review

07/24/2018 Just the humor I need to get you through the week! This cast is F'n hilarious See more 01/09/2018 Barely funny. Mostly not funny. If this is the future of sitcoms we're in big trouble. See more 04/10/2016 I don't usually rate tv shows, but this is a hilariously inappropriate show in the style of "bridesmaids." I hope they do a second season. See more 03/20/2016 I actually think this is quite refreshing and funny, for females mostly. I'm not a sit-com fan, but I have enjoyed this one. I'm not sure if it will continue to be a series I look forward to watching for another season or if it will begin to get old, but at the moment, I'm enjoying the majority of this raunchy humor and the characters, as well. See more 03/09/2016 I would have never heard of this show if I didn't see a news story about how the web site "One Million Moms" is trying to get this pulled off the air. There's something about being told you shouldn't watch something that makes you want to watch it. I thought it was funny. Has anyone else watched this? See more 03/04/2016 Absurdly funny with many over the top moments but some good lol moments as well. See more Read all reviews
