One of the other most interesting relationships that continues to develop throughout the current third season of the action thriller series is the one between Lt. Danny Green and his new wife, Lt. Kara Foster.

The Last Ship is pure fun that's sure to impress those that have stuck with it.

Through the suspenseful moments and watching our heroes defeat their enemy, there's still that feeling of hope. There's still that feeling of satisfaction.

Watching Tom re-take command of the ship he gave up in order to, as President Michener (Mark Moses) put it, run the entire U.S. Military, was a treat.

There was plenty of action to keep viewers on the edge of their seats and enough changes not only on the Nathan James but also within the American government to give the show a whole new feel to viewers.

Audience Reviews for The Last Ship: Season 3

½

Season 3 changed its tone from focusing on the plague to international intrigue, it was significantly better than the last season but I find the acting rather horrible for the non-essential cast.

New threats await the crew of the Nathan James in Season 3 of The Last Ship. The series jumps forward several months as the season starts with the United States in the midst of reconstruction and the USS Nathan James distributing the cure in Asia; but things quickly take a down turn when a terrorist kidnaps several members of the James' crew and holds them hostage, and the U.S. regional governors seize a chance to make a power grab against a weakened president. It's an interesting direction to take the show in, and is action-packed. However, a number of characters are written off, including a couple of fan favorites. Yet there are some impressive additions to the reoccurring cast, including Elisabeth Rohm, Dichen Lachman, and Hiroyuki Sanada. While it delivers all of the intense drama and action of previous seasons, The Last Ship is a different type of show in Season 3.
