It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a syndicated TV adaptation of the beloved DC Comics superhero! You know the drill: When he isn't fighting for truth, justice and the American way, the man in tights dons a suit and glasses for his secret identity as Daily Planet newspaper reporter Clark Kent, who works alongside friends Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen for gruff boss Perry White.

Coates had the brass of a film noir heroine, and helped set the tone for the early Adventures Of Superman episodes, which showed confidence and bustle, like the better B-movies of the era. Go to Full Review

These black-and-white episodes zip past faster than the proverbial bullet, have a few demented noir villains and are a lot of fun. Go to Full Review

A classic telling of Superman's origin story and might actually be my favorite version of the oft-told tale. Go to Full Review

A lot like the very earliest Superman comics, from George Reeves' physical appearance to the crime-related stories and general tone. It's a smart show sporting a solid supporting cast. Go to Full Review

Richard M @RT91525933 10/14/2023 I watched Superman every morning before grammar school. I had to ride my bicycle so hard to make it to school on time. I still enjoy watching it on Saturday and Sunday mornings as it's still aired even today See more 12/04/2021 Even if they are some elements that didn't aged well, I think this is great show and it can entertain you. See more 09/25/2019 Poor quality, should never been made but luckily Christopher Reeves grandad enjoyed it back in the caveman days. The real actor actually tried to jump from a building and plunged to his death in the superman costume, he even believed he was superman in real life. So poor it deserves zero but I will generously give it a half star because of how poor it was. The grim reaper was even confused when he went to collect a man in a superman costume.
