She repurposes old things in awesome ways giving them new life, such as cutting up an old rolling pin someone probably wouldn't want to use for food anymore and was just in a box in someone's garage and makes the pieces into legs of a wine stand and it's awesome. She makes things work when things go wrong and the results are even better that way. Also she uses power tools to make custom things which I love watching on these shows. I enjoy shopping with her, decorating with her and the reveal of the finished rooms at the end. She is kind and polite, which is something some other decorating shows do not have. I enjoy the quirky style and how she uses garage sale and vintage items. Great show!!! See more Sheila B @RT06458306 08/26/2023 This is the result of a person never being told that what they do looks bad. Freakishly poor DIYs and chaotically bad design. If Katie went to art and design school, that institution failed her. The extra 1/2 star is because my husband and I enjoy screaming at the TV about how bad the rooms look after. I do applaud her bravery for putting herself out there, but a bit of introspection and looking at ACTUAL good design might benefit her. Not everyone needs a TV show. See more Read all reviews
