"The Best Years" revolves around the lives of college students purportedly experiencing them, centering on Samantha Best and the group of new friends she makes at prestigious Charles University in Massachusetts. A foster child after her parents passed away 10 years earlier, Samantha slowly finds a new family among her friends, who include best pals Kathryn and Noah plus ladies' man Del, driven pre-med student Robyn and quirky sci-fi geek Poppi.
