Hip-hop's peak years are generally considered to encompass the 1990s, a rise that coincided with Death Row Records becoming one of the most notorious labels in the genre's history. This docuseries presents a warts-and-all history of Death Row, which was built by CEO Suge Knight into a multimillion-dollar company thanks to a legendary talent roster led by Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. Series highlights include never-before-seen footage, a firsthand interview with someone who witnessed Shakur's murder in 1996, and comments from former Death Row artists and other key players in the label's rise and downfall.
