The majestic backcountry of Idaho is the setting of "Way Out West," a reality series that observes three fun-loving families who run rival outfitting businesses. The Youren, Bullock and Korell families have been competitors for three generations, taking clients into the wilderness for tracking, fishing, rafting, horseback riding and camping. Other than guiding and instructing uninitiated city folk or rescuing their own lost cattle, the families experience typical life issues, manage the raising of kids, and search for romance in the last remnants of the Wild West.
