What to Know

Critics Consensus

Wednesday's second season smartly opens up to include more of the whole Addams clan, backing up Jenna Ortega's lovably heartless teenager with an ookier and spookier ensemble.

It’s all pretty delightful for those of us who are old enough to appreciate not just the referential casting, but also the just-campy-enough performances that Buscemi, Matarazzo, and the rest deliver. Go to Full Review

The lack of a romantic plot for our lugubrious heroine is the biggest change so far between Wednesday Seasons 1 and 2. Hell, it might even be the only major narrative change, and it’s surprisingly refreshing. Go to Full Review

If television is losing eyeballs in the digital era, then Wednesday appears to have cracked the code to retaining them. Go to Full Review

Though it’s clear why younger viewers would be eager to spend time in this world, this adult sometimes feels like the aesthetics are a distraction from a lack of character development. Go to Full Review

I was half expecting Hannah Montana in goth makeup. As it turns out, I enjoyed these first four episodes. Go to Full Review

Wednesday's second season starts strong but in the end, falls victim to the same overcrowded storytelling that plagued season one, and not in a fun way. Go to Full Review

32-6A9-Nguyễn Ngọc Bảo Trân-N6 T @RT59867681 Mar 15 I love the show, especially Enid, I love her character so much See more Janiru R @JaniruEditZ Mar 5 Season 2 of Wednesday is a disaster. The fact that Percy Hynes White wasn’t brought back as Xavier is beyond stupid. He wasn’t just some side character — he was the backbone of season 1, the only one who gave the story actual weight. Without him, the show feels empty, fake, and pointless. The writers clearly don’t understand their own series. Removing Xavier killed the chemistry, killed the tension, and killed any reason to care. Instead of building on what worked, they gutted the heart of the show and left us with hollow filler. It’s like they ripped out the most important piece of the puzzle and expected fans not to notice. Season 2 is nothing but wasted potential. No Percy, no Xavier, no soul. Just a cheap knockoff of what Wednesday used to be. Absolute trash. See more Unkown G @unkownghost141 Mar 3 what a slop show man I watched it when It came out kinda disappointed in it season 1 was ok just the story is kinda everywhere and cgi isn't the best looks like some ps2 or mobile game graphics and the music is repetitive its really not that great in my opinion I'd rather watch a dog take a crap in my lawn then watch this slop again definitely wont be seeing season 3 when it comes out. See more Turner M. @JDtheGoat Feb 23 Better than season one. Prove me wrong. See more Jordan R @RT08839911 Feb 7 Over 50% of women have been on SSRIs and I can see why. This is the kind of attitude that is applauded? I get it, it's a comedy, Wednesday is a fictional character. She's also a reflection of a society where cynicism and negativity is rampant. I guarantee more women will be inspired to act like a depressing Debbie-downer. Let's stop confusing cynical with intelligence. In a world that's as depressing as ours, it takes a courageous person to try to stay positive. In real life, this is the kind of girl the that's ok multiple medications and pushes every lives one away. I don't know, maybe I'm dumb for not wanting people to feel like Wednesday is someone cool to emulate. I sound like a boomer but life really does imitate art. What do I know? I'm not "struggling" with a mental health disorder that I won't try to fix myself and tell everyone that it's their fault. See more Samantha S. @SamanthaL Feb 1 Perfection. Love all the actors.
