Ana Cabrera
American journalist Ana Cabrera was born in Denver, Colorado to a Mexican-American family on May 13, 1982. Raised in Denver, Cabrera graduated from Washington State University where she excelled on the track and field team. After college, she worked as a reporter for KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington for four years. She later returned to Denver, Colorado to work as a morning news anchor at KMGH-TV Channel 7 News, earning an Emmy award for her reporting of wildfires in 2012. Cabrera was picked up by CNN in 2013 where she started as a national correspondent. In 2017 she was elevated to the role of anchor, first for the weekend edition of "CNN Newsroom" (CNN, 2006- ) and later for her own one-hour weekday afternoon time slot. In April 2023, Cabrera started anchoring for MSNBC for a weekday time slot "MSNBC Reports" (MSNBC, 2021- ).
