Meredith Willson brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his career. Willson worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" with Nancy Allen (1978). In the eighties and the early 2000s, Willson devoted his time to various credits, such as "A Grand Night: The Performing Arts Salute Public Television" (PBS, 1987-88), "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997), "The Other Sister" (1999) starring Juliette Lewis, "Duplex" (2003) and "Charlie: The Life and Art of Charles Chaplin" (2004) starring Sydney Pollack. In the early 2000s and the 2010s, Willson lent his talents to projects like the Tom Hanks and Michael Jeter blockbuster "The Polar Express" (2004), the Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon box office smash "Four Christmases" (2008), "Sex and the City 2" with Sarah Jessica Parker (2010) and "A Very Harold & Kumar 3-D Christmas" (2011). Willson last provided music for the dramatic adaptation "The Music Never Stopped" (2011) with Lou Taylor Pucci. Willson was married to Elizabeth Willson. Meredith Willson passed away in June 1984 at the age of 82.
