Pippa Middleton

Pippa Middleton was a British socialite and author who became an internationally recognized public figure in April of 2011 after serving as Maid of Honor at her sister Kate's wedding to Prince William. Born and raised in Berkshire, England, Middleton attended private schools in England, and got a first taste of the spotlight while serving as a catalog model for her parents company, Party Pieces. The company, which would later become a multi-million dollar business, sold party decorations for children. When it came time to enter college, Middleton attended the esteemed University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Middleton studied English Literature at the university, and would eventually go on to earn her degree. After college Middleton worked for a public relations firm that promoted luxury products, and also began making a name for herself as an event planner in London. It was in April of 2011, however, that Middleton was first catapulted into the international spotlight after she served as the Maid of Honor for her sister Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton's marriage to Prince Harry was broadcast on television networks all throughout the world, thus making Pippa Middleton a household name overnight. After her sister became a member of the British Royal Family, Pippa Middleton began making a name for herself as a writer. She began writing columns for The Spectator magazine, and also became contributing editor for Vanity Fair magazine in the United States. In addition to her magazine writing, Middleton also wrote two books: Celebrate (2012) and Heartfelt (2016). Pippa Middleton's personal life became the source of headlines in 2017 when she married the former British racecar driver James Matthews. The following year, Middleton gave birth to her and Matthews' first son, Arthur Michael William.
