Wes Borland, best known as the guitarist and backing vocalist for the American nu metal band Limp Bizkit, was born on February 7, 1975, in Richmond, Virginia. He was recognized for his live performances, often appearing in elaborate makeup and costumes and his complex guitar riffs. Growing up, Borland had many artistic interests. Attending the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in high school, he developed skills in painting, sculpting, and special effects all while honing his guitar skills. After moving out of his parents' home at age 18, Borland joined Fred Durst, Sam Rivers and John Otto in forming the band Limp Bizkit. The band achieved massive commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with hits like "Break Stuff" and "Rollin'." Borland briefly left Limp Bizkit in 2001 but rejoined in 2004, continuing to contribute to the band's work while also pursuing solo projects and other musical collaborations. He released music with his projects Big Dumb Face, Black Light Burns, and Queen Kwong, showcasing his versatility as a musician and artist.
