Copenhagen Cowboy: Season 1 (2023) 68% 5.5/10 EDIT “Copenhagen Cowboy looks as good as Refn’s other recent work but gets stuck in the middle ground between an exciting crime story and an atmospheric portrait of a city, leading it to fail at being either.” – Cultured Vultures Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Harley Quinn: Season 3 (2022) 100% 8/10 EDIT “Harley Quinn: Season 3 remains an anarchic delight that also offers some surprisingly thoughtful considerations of Batman/Bruce Wayne and an emotionally real portrayal of romantic conflicts.” – Cultured Vultures Sep 16, 2022 Full Review Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy: Season 1 (2022) 82% 8/10 EDIT “Jeen-Yuhs is insightful and powerful in its first two parts, but fails to meet that high standard in its third part as it moves briskly through more than fifteen years.” – Cultured Vultures Mar 10, 2022 Full Review Hellbound: Season 1 (2021) 97% 7.5/10 EDIT “Hellbound uses its fantastical premise to create an intellectually exciting and genuinely disturbing religious horror show, even if some of the plotlines are a bit overly dramatic and cliche.” – Cultured Vultures Nov 26, 2021 Full Review Star Wars: Visions: Season 1 (2021) 96% 7.5/10 EDIT “Star Wars: Visions is a fantastic set of shorts that allows fans the opportunity to see their beloved galaxy through the eyes of some of anime's best creators, but the stories don't quite match the visuals in quality or originality.” – Cultured Vultures Sep 24, 2021 Full Review Adventure Time: Distant Lands: Season 1, Episode 1 (2020) 5/10 EDIT “Wizard City has some good jokes, and fun cameos from old friends, but it betrays the character of Peppermint Butler and doesn't quite feel like Adventure Time.” – Cultured Vultures Sep 10, 2021 Full Review Adventure Time: Distant Lands: Season 1, Episode 3 (2021) 8/10 EDIT “Together Again is a standard adventure story, but one which deftly introduces new lore and manages to deliver the surprisingly satisfying emotional ending for Finn and Jake's relationship that was missing from the original finale.” – Cultured Vultures May 27, 2021 Full Review Adventure Time: Distant Lands: Season 1, Episode 2 (2020) 8/10 EDIT “Obsidian is fan service at its finest, providing great romantic moments for its central couple as well as emotionally potent flashbacks that flesh out their backstory, all while delivering a fun and exciting one-off adventure.” – Cultured Vultures Nov 24, 2020 Full Review
