The Beauty: Season 1 (2026) 70% B- EDIT “The opening scene feels like the perfect distillation of the Ryan Murphy-produced series as a whole: loud, unsubtle, and absolutely giddy over its own grossness.” – Consequence Jan 21, 2026 Full Review A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Season 1 (2026) 95% B+ EDIT “The lack of plot could be seen as a feature, not a bug, as it allows Martin and co-creator Ira Parker to keep things focused on the trials and tribulations of its core characters” – Consequence Jan 13, 2026 Full Review The Pitt: Season 2 (2026) 99% A- EDIT “Season 2 preserves all the aspects of the first season that helped it click so well, while adding just enough new elements to feel like the show is continuing to evolve. In short: What the best shows do, especially after a stellar first season.” – Consequence Jan 5, 2026 Full Review Pluribus: Season 1, Episode 9 (2025) EDIT “The whole point of this show has been this journey into understanding the depths of the threat Carol, Manousos, and every other human on this planet is facing.” – Consequence Dec 24, 2025 Full Review Stranger Things: Season 5 (2025) 83% B+ EDIT “When Stranger Things hits the level one might call epic, it's not because of CGI battles, but because unexpected heroes are rising to the occasion. That happens more than once in the first half of Season 5, making it a promising start.” – Consequence Nov 27, 2025 Full Review Pluribus: Season 1 (2025) 98% A EDIT “This might be the best pandemic-related art we’ve gotten yet, because it comes at those themes from the most unexpected of angles, prying open the lingering trauma from those years to explore the deeper ways that time hurt us all. ” – Consequence Nov 7, 2025 Full Review All's Fair: Season 1 (2025) 6% C- EDIT “The new Hulu series feels like a fever dream, a peek into an alternate universe occupied by creatures who might look vaguely human but do not speak or act as you and I do. The goal might have been camp. But camp’s supposed to be fun. ” – Consequence Nov 5, 2025 Full Review The Chair Company: Season 1 (2025) 100% B+ EDIT “What The Chair Company seems most interested in exploring is the way tiny moments can so easily explode into big ones, the way a single indignity can crawl under a man’s skin and not let go.” – Consequence Oct 9, 2025 Full Review Task: Season 1 (2025) 96% B+ EDIT “A nice reminder that while HBO has found both popular and critical success with its dragons and fungus zombies, it’s also still one of the few places you can see a story like this being told: Smart, powerful, and worthy of your full attention.” – Consequence Sep 4, 2025 Full Review The Paper: Season 1 (2025) 86% B+ EDIT “The end result is a show that doesn’t just inspire laughs — it can actually feel pretty inspiring. Because yeah, everyone’s gotta work for a living. It’s nice, though, to see people living for work they believe in.” – Consequence Sep 3, 2025 Full Review Peacemaker: Season 2 (2025) 94% B EDIT “It all works well enough to prove that Gunn is capable of operating within somewhat different tones, even within the same universe. And no matter what the angle, he’s prioritizing comic book fun — a true relief.” – Consequence Aug 15, 2025 Full Review Wednesday: Season 2 (2025) 87% EDIT “There’s a lot of promise here, despite the season split that, instead of enhancing the story, ends up curbing the show’s momentum.” – Consequence Aug 6, 2025 Full Review Alien: Earth: Season 1 (2025) 94% A- EDIT “In terms of the depiction of its most terrifying creatures… This review could spoil details about them, but it’s far more fun to figure out on your own exactly what some of these sci-fi horrors are, and how exactly they’ll end up killing you.” – Consequence Aug 5, 2025 Full Review King of the Hill: Season 14 (2025) 98% A- EDIT “The show lean hard into the way society has evolved, even while Hank’s core values haven’t — the way his dedication to those core values run up against stuff like men’s rights is where some of the show’s best jokes and most interesting tension comes from.” – Consequence Jul 25, 2025 Full Review Dexter: Resurrection: Season 1 (2025) 95% EDIT “There have been plenty of threats over the years that Dexter might, at last, face some consequences for his actions. But maybe this time, it’ll happen for sure?” – Consequence Jul 10, 2025 Full Review It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 17 (2025) 84% B+ EDIT “Mac (Rob McElhenney, now credited as Rob Mac), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Sweet Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) show no signs of getting their shit together anytime soon, and once again it’s to television’s benefit.” – Consequence Jul 7, 2025 Full Review Squid Game: Season 3 (2025) 78% B- EDIT “The world just keeps getting darker and darker, it seems, and Squid Game has remarkably managed to keep pace with it just by being its own cruel self. ” – Consequence Jun 27, 2025 Full Review Ironheart: Season 1 (2025) 76% B EDIT “A show that has its flaws, but doesn’t deserve to be cast aside.” – Consequence Jun 25, 2025 Full Review Pee-wee as Himself: Season 1 (2025) 100% A- EDIT “Central to Pee-Wee as Himself is the question of identity, on a level beyond Reubens grappling with how to balance his private life with his public persona. He speaks about fame as being a contract he signed without necessarily reading the fine print.” – Consequence May 22, 2025 Full Review The Last of Us: Season 2, Episode 6 (2025) EDIT “What’s so striking about the episode is how it emphasizes how fully realized a character Joel is; not just a survivor, not just a parent, but a whole person. ” – Consequence May 19, 2025 Full Review Poker Face: Season 2 (2025) 96% A- EDIT “It’s important to have a crime show that never once forgets, in even the silliest of scenarios, that murderers and victims aren’t just plot devices. They’re people.” – Consequence May 2, 2025 Full Review The Last of Us: Season 2, Episode 2 (2025) EDIT “The most important themes of The Last of Us are all tied up in Abby’s actions, the biggest amongst them being the fact that our actions have consequences.” – Consequence Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Andor: Season 2 (2025) 97% A EDIT “Andor has been a balm and a blessing. It really has been some of the very best storytelling to ever bear the Star Wars name. And it also feels like it should be the last live-action prequel.” – Consequence Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Black Mirror: Season 7 (2025) 84% B EDIT “Watching these episodes, it started to feel like the seemingly infinite number of stories this show can explore is no longer so infinite. Which is wild to consider, in a time when potential abuses of technology feel more rampant than ever.” – Consequence Apr 10, 2025 Full Review The Last of Us: Season 2 (2025) 92% B+ EDIT “Remaining faithful to the games, the HBO drama continues to be a powerful, emotional, and often brutal story about what it means to survive in impossible times.” – Consequence Apr 7, 2025 Full Review
