Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem is literally shrouded in darkness, and the only explicable reason for this pitch-black visual schema is that the filmmakers understood it was better if no one could see the **** they were shooting.

This honestly should’ve been an easy victory, but for some reason, they blundered it. I honestly enjoyed the first AVP. It’s not legitimately well-made, nor would I like it to be the actual alien or predator lore, but I thought it was a fun piece of fan-fiction. This just sucked. It gives you the R-rating the first one should’ve had, but the expense of any sort of narrative storytelling or cohesive plotting, whatsoever. For for some reason, this film is literally hard to watch. The lighting is terrible, and you can hardly see anything that’s happening in front of you. There’s also a couple real nasty plotlines in here that are just in bad taste, making a bit of the film unpleasant. If you ask me, it’s the worst this franchise has to offer. Which, admittedly is still a little higher than many other prominent horror franchises low point, but… I mean, yeah.
