Virgo V @vision May 4 Born to Fight (also known as Gerd Ma Lui) is a 1986 Thai action and martial arts film starring Panna Rittikrai and Hernfah Khwangmhek. It was directed by Panna in his directorial debut and produced by Chokchai Melewan and Pechpanna Productions. Its cinematographer was Nattawut Kittikhun. It was distributed by Sahamongkol Film International. Vision wrote: "Panna Rittikrai was definitely born to fight. He imitates Hong Kong actions stars like Jackie Chan but also shows his own Thai qualities in reality. A mentor and a master of Muay Thai. This film is pre-Ong-Bak for sure. Admire the dialogue of humour. This is the film where I finally point out that the different angle shots that are added in Thai martial arts films is annoying. It also takes away from screen time that allows more manoeuvres. Its the one thing I don't admire. Overall, story, production as always, the acting such as Panna: "Come on. I was born to fight" and the cinematography, I would give this film four fries!" See more Read all reviews
