The life of Jesse (Josh Hutcherson), an adolescent, changes when he befriends Leslie (AnnaSophia Robb), the class outsider. The children create an imaginary world called Terabithia, which is inhabited by all manner of magical creatures. Though difficulties fill their ordinary lives, Jesse and Leslie rule as king and queen in Terabithia. Soon one of the friends must draw on the strength of their imaginary kingdom to cope with a tragedy.

Seen this countless times, and it still makes me cry every single watch. So beautiful but heartbreaking and watching it today with the man I love made it even more special. (only 4 1/2 because I hate how sad it is.)

When i first watched this movie i was going into it with an open mind . But at the end i loved it and the scene where Jesse's mom announces that Leslie has drowned in the creek that little scene brought me to tears. This movie is a prime example of two children coming together and creating a world of there own and through all the conflicts of this movie even Leslie's death Jessie still decides to not forget the world he and Leslie created together. This movie portray's that even through a loved ones death and heavy grief because of that death. You the character can still move through it and have a happy ending in itself. One of the main characters Jessie portray's this really well. I recommend this movie for all family's and if you want a good movie for your children to watch watch this movie!!!!

Bawled my eyes out in the final act. What an incredible film about friendship, grief, and children’s imagination. Incredible acting for such a young cast - not a perfect film, but definitely one you have to watch.
