Mutalib A @RT97954997 Jun 11 Catwoman (2004) is one of those superhero films that had a lot of potential but never quite found its footing. The idea of giving the character her own standalone story was interesting, especially with Halle Berry stepping into the role, bringing undeniable screen presence and confidence. She does her best with the material and carries a lot of the film’s energy, but unfortunately, she’s working with a script that doesn’t fully support her. The story itself feels a bit disjointed, moving from one scene to another without much depth or emotional build-up. Instead of developing Catwoman into a complex and compelling character, the film leans heavily on flashy visuals and stylized action, which quickly grows repetitive. Some moments are fun in a campy, early-2000s way, but they don’t quite come together to create a strong narrative. See more Tsaki M @tsaki May 17 One of the most iconic superhero movies. I've seen some people question the concept of a superhero having cat powers, although anyone who knows cats knows they're badass and fearless (at least it makes more sense than a superhero with spider powers...). However this is another great movie with a female superhero which is buried in the RottenTomatoes reviews simply because of misogyny and racism. The editing is so bad that it distracts from other elements of the film. Not much makes sense logically. Everything has plastic fake look to it. That being said, it's great in a so bad it's good way. It's pure 2000s in an endearing way. It's a time machine to a specific era; largely one that we want to forget, but serves its purpose from time to time.
