Cumulatively, the films are laced with nostalgia for a time when cinema represented the shock of the new.

Mar 09, 2011It is surprising that neither Quentin Tarantino nor any awarded exponent of the Spanish Cinema like Pedro Almodóvar participated in this project, and even if some of the shorts are bland, most offer a pleasant look into each filmmaker's style and vision (my favorite being Iñárritu's "Anna").Carlos M Super Reviewer

Dec 09, 2007Beautiful composition of shortfilms with an authentic desire to be made. Every film had its charm, even the ones that, in my opinion, were the weakest. A very lovely and valuable gem in modern film making.Liolia K Super Reviewer

Jun 24, 2007Omnibus film from 36 world renowned directors, each directing a short film about what cinema means to them. Some work better than others, but the overall impact is quite powerful. Highlights include "Artaud Double Bill" by Atom Egoyan, "Anna" by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, "I Traveled 9000 km to Give it to You" by Wong Kar Wai, "Cinema Erotique" by Roman Polanski, "Where is My Romeo" by Abbas Kiarostami, and "Awkward" by Elia Suleiman.Matthew L Super Reviewer
