  • Some slickly commendable action sequences and a great final fight between Jean-Claude van Damme and Bolo Yeung. But this often feels like it's eight hours long. Don't let that deter you from one of the year's finest making-of documentaries, though.

  • The film is a brisk 110 minutes long. If you tabulate all of the awesomery that occurs during that runtime, Double Impact's excellence simply cannot be disproven.

  • Some decent hand-to-hand (or, rather, foot-to-foot) combat, too many dull shootouts, and dopey dialogue that sounds even dopier coming from Van Damme.

  • There are a lot of movies you can spend your money on - MVD's retro collector's edition of DOUBLE IMPACT is one of them.

  • A damn good action film with some of the best Van Damme fights ever filmed.

  • Van Damme was never great with drama, lousy with the English language, but put the man in tight pants and surround him with Asian stuntmen, and there's pure joy to be had.

Any movie with Van Damme is awesome. Any movie with two Van Damme's is even better

What a piece of garbage, Van Damme playing twins??? It's like Lindsay Lohan killing herself with I know who killed me. Double Impact has some good choreography, but the unoriginal storyline and bad Asian extras failed to sustain the entertaining value.

while the film is a triumph of bad acting, screen writing and direction there is a lot of fun to be had here. The mere notion of two van dammes in the film can only spell success and that's exactly what happens. the fight scenes are what we are here for and they deliver in spades. the film takes a while to get going but once the action kicks off throw logic to the wind and you'll enjoy a surprisingly fun film. The story isn't anything to write home about and unfortunately some of the writing is quite dull to the point of laughable. they try to hard to give Van Damme some acting credibility here but it falls apart. the conclusion is one well staged saga which will have you glued to the edge of your seat. if you expect a lot then you won't much here but if you enjoy Van Damme then you'll enjoy one of he's better films

Double Van Damme means double the fun and excitement. One of his best action films. Jean-Claude Van Damme brings on strong star power as the two main leads and hammers home some great action sequences. An exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping action-packed thrill-ride. It's smart, funny, thrilling and heart-pounding from start to finish. Loads of fist, kicks and explosive fire power. Action dose not get better or hotter than this.
