It’s kind of a mess, but it’s specifically Verbinski’s mess and that makes for a propulsively chaotic ride. Go to Full Review

I can’t remember seeing a film that espoused ideas and beliefs with which I agreed wholeheartedly (social media is evil and we’re all going to die) while simultaneously boring me stupid. Go to Full Review

This starts strong but doesn’t always have the room to explore all the ideas it crams in, even with a lengthy running time. Still, Rockwell’s man-on-a-mission is a delight. Go to Full Review

Both things can be true at once: Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is a complete original, and it’s reminiscent of other brain-warping works of recent vintage. Go to Full Review

What’s missing?: technology is a conquest of humanity. Although it serves as an instrument of oppression, it is the basic requirement for the liberation of humanity. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is a rather stupid and backward film, all in all. Go to Full Review

Matt B 9h Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die is a quirky time travel movie that seems like it's main appeal audience is that generation that doesn't really care if you call us Generation X (like if you're into your labels, cool just don't expect us to internalize them too strongly or take you too seriously if you do. We discuss timeless issues--not artificially time-bound nonsense). Plot development was choppy by design and that bothered me some. It was interrupted by character development, which was achieved a la flashbacks that, for me, lasted a little too long and there were too many of them. It makes sense in the larger context, so not a deal breaker for sure. The reveal, for me, was tipped off at the dumpster scene, though I was kind of thinking it a little earlier than that. I liked the trope. It was well executed. All I can say is, pay attention to his use of names and titles (some people he calls by name, others by a title. Why does he do that? The writer tips his his hand to some emotional intelligence on that subtle detail). Definitely a popcorn and soda pop nostalgic feel good movie that drew imagery from Terminator (yeah, I know that's 1980s, but it was only a decade old at best when we enter the 1990s) and it's a shame this movie wasn't in theaters longer. The acting was good. Haley Lu Richardson stole the show, though, and her character (Ingrid) is my 1990s Gen X honeypot crush. If you were born in that generation called X, I recommend this one not as an inspiring film to lift you to new heights of consciousness, understanding, and awareness, but for those times when you just want to watch a good old fashioned movie with an ending that, while predictable, is satisfying. See more Georgio Mar 31 a movie that's definitely the director's vision, unfiltered and that's something you don't definitely see nowadays. See more Alexander Mar 25 It’s everything you want from a movie See more Mr.O Mar 22 One of those weird movies where the plot is all within itself and has sub themes throughout the movie . If you can keep up, great movie . See more Andrew K Mar 22 I had a really good time with this movie. it's kind of silly and dumb. but there's nothing wrong with that. See more Read all reviews
