Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former baby sitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it's not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. As Halloween descends upon Laurie's peaceful community, a feeling of dread weighs upon her -- with good reason.

This is a really strong continuation of the original Halloween Timeline. Honestly, with that ending, it should be the last one. But I digress, I really enjoyed this movie. For starters, I thought they handled Laurie’s story and characterization very well. Having her be an overprotective parent because of what happened to her 20 years ago is a perfect progression of her character arc. I also enjoyed her dynamic with Michael Myers in this movie. She knows he’s not dead despite what he’s been put through, so she makes sure he gets killed this time around leading to an amazing and shocking ending, The death of Michael Myers (for now)!! This is an amazing ending that should DEFINITELY have been the end of this timeline in my opinion. My biggest complaint with this movie is the Michael Myers mask. It’s so bad! But that’s just a minor complaint, it’s not like it ruined the movie for me or anything. But overall, this movie is a solid Halloween movie and could’ve been a great end to this timeline. If you’ve enjoyed the Halloween franchise thus far, you’ll probably like this one too!
