A tale of a young girl's close encounter with the galaxy's most wanted extraterrestrial. Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts a small ugly "dog," whom she names Stitch. It's a bright, engaging bauble with half a dozen Elvis Presley songs for Mom and Dad, and just enough sass -- Stitch sticks his tongue into his nose and eats his snot -- to keep the tweeners giggling.

Lilo & Stitch might not always be the first title people name when listing Disney's greats, but it absolutely deserves a spot among them. It's a vibrant, quirky, and emotionally resonant story that blends science fiction chaos with the warmth of a deeply human tale about family, belonging, and acceptance. The Hawaiian setting adds a unique flavor rarely explored in animation, with a great soundtrack that mixes Elvis Presley tunes and original island-inspired melodies. Stitch, the chaotic but lovable alien, is the heart of the film, and it's no surprise he became one of Disney's most iconic modern characters. The movie's central message, embodied in the simple yet powerful word Ohana, elevates it beyond its humorous and action-packed surface. While it feels a bit short and could've explored more depth with its characters and themes, what's there is tightly crafted and genuinely moving. It's a beautifully weird and heartfelt film that proves Disney's magic goes beyond fairy tales.

En resumen, Lilo & Stitch es otra gran obra animada de Disney que ha hecho que la etapa milenaria de la casa del ratón siga brillando. Como otros clásicos de la franquicia animada, sigue manteniendo su encanto intacto y puede seguir agradando a los niños y adultos de las generaciones pasadas, presentes y futuras. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 9/10.
