Akkad dodges with creativity the limitations imposed by the very Islam that he wants to depict (to celebrate blind faith, ironically) and creates an epic that should be interesting to those who don't know much about the religion although it contradicts the Quran many times to make it look tolerant.

i like the way everyone has just put this film down in their "not interested" section. haha. it aint bad to be honest. shows ya the idea of islam isn't to go around blowing yourself up and killing random people even if ya think it is in this day an age. makes ya wonder where it all went wrong for the islamic faith. like any religion it's manipulated for personal gain sooner or later. yes, this does have anthony quinn in it as one of muhammeds right hand men. should have said left? which hand is it to eat? this film works because of atmosphere and build up. it was long but you barely notice the run-time. it's a smooth and easy ride through the life of a prophet
