As a young boy, Danny (Jude Law) helped deliver his neighbor's infant daughter, Anna Swann. Despite his various relationships, Danny's always felt that he was destined to marry Anna. Twenty-five years later Danny returns to his home town and runs into a full-grown Anna (Gretchen Mol). The only problem is that she is already engaged to Eric (Jon Tenney).
