A cappella isn't something everyone wants to do, as Beca constantly reminds us, but for this kid, it's all she's ever wanted to do. And when Pitch Perfect 2 is at its best, it makes you feel, for just a second, like you want to, too.

This movie starts off really badly. I almost didn't finish it. But I kept watching and about two-thirds of the way through, it turned from really bad to really good. I only advise this movie for those who loved the first or are really into musicals. If you choose to watch, just give it time. It does become good after a lot of bad.

Good, doesn't miss a step from the original. Love the new cast and the plot is silly, but fun. The commentators don't age well, but not a big deal, they are intended to offend anyway.

The addition of Hailee Steinfeld brings fresh energy and a new perspective that blends well with the returning cast. The music is creative and entertaining, with strong mashups and a memorable original song that helps the sequel stand on its own. Rebel Wilson delivers some of her funniest moments here, landing jokes that genuinely work, while Elizabeth Banks continues to shine with her quick wit and confidence.
