Didn't know about this movie..
Very enjoyable low-budget biopic that bounces back and forth between telling the story of his boxing career and a sub-plot involving the Rock in his retirement years.. With abrasive moments as well as touching ones, this movie definitely gives the Brockton Blockbuster a good deal of justice. Favreau portrays all of Marciano's highs and lows, from his nearly killing a man in the ring, to the war with the legendary Joe Louis, in a very sincere fashion.. Rocky Marciano will forever be undefeated, but his tale was a bittersweet one and this movie does a good a job as any at capturing that. Definitely worth the watch if you have an hour and a half to kill..
Rocky Marciano would have beat Muhammed Ali's ass around the ring!
An interesting bio of Marcianos life story. Worth a look if your into boxing or just learning about some of the great sporting icons of our times. Great performance from Favreau as Rocky
The man who would direct Iron Man 1 and 2 plays a boxer no one remembers but anyone who knows boxing should, the movie could've been better but for the most part it's a nice movie. I never thought George C Scott could pull a believable Italian accent.
It's a boxing movie, of course I like it.
this film doesn't deserve 33% from the critics who definately have no merit reviewing these days when you have awesome web sites like this. a great lead performance saves an otherwise pedestrian like story. i was shocked to see this film on cable and no nothing about the film. it isn't rocky but it is well acted and isn't a waste of time as the critics would have you believe.
if you enjoy boxing films and going for the underdog then you'll enjoy this telling of a legend
Maybe not 100% historical, but is a decent biofilm. Dont know why it has so low rating here.
Superficial overview of the champ's life.
Parte del soundtrack es el mismo de "Pelotón". Es algo didáctica en cuanto al la técnica de boxeo. La escena de la cachetada de la madre del oponente de Rocky Marciano propinada a Rocky es un desastre. Faltó emotividad.
