I think his comics are way overrated so when it came time to revisit the Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller directed film I wasn’t expecting much because I didn’t enjoy it the first time I viewed it. Well twenty years makes a huge difference! I absolutely loved this! Everything about this film was almost perfect! The casting, the acting, the story and most importantly the cinematography was done with perfection! I can’t recall a movie since this release that has this unique of a look and it makes the story even better. This was the best adaptation of a comic book in a very long time. This instantly has became one of my favorite comic book movies! Today’s comic book movies should take note of this film and learn how to tell engaging stories while being visually pleasing. The Faces For Radio score - 96 See more Kevin P @RT55971421 Feb 3 An incredibly stylized and insane action film noir that's an awesome and action-packed juvenile power fantasy that every kid has dreamed about. It's a comic book brought to life in every sense of the word. It's incredibly faithful to the artwork of the comics and it's very impressive how they pulled that off. The movie is frequently violent, as not a minute goes by without some punching, kicking, slicing, or shooting. But the violence is so stylized and well-choreographed that there's almost an art to it. I love the cool black and white comic book visual style and bloody action. It's impressive how well this translated Frank Miller's graphic novel to the big screen, frame for frame. I loved Marv's story about love, loneliness, and revenge after the love of his life Goldie is killed. Elijah wood's serial killer character Kevin is both goofy and very disturbing.
