This is a lost/timeless hiphop classic buddy cop film. Featuring cameos by Run DMC, Ice T, Busta Rhymes, KRS-One, Queen Latifah, Bernie Mac, Terrence Howard, Flavor Flav, Kriss Kross, Cypress Hill, Bill Bellamy, Fab 5 Freddy, Guru, Kid Capri, Melle MelI, Everlast, Bushwick Bill & more...really wish this film would see a legit hd digital port sometime soon, but I assume the studio behind the film doesn't enough dollar signs for a proper re-release any time soon.
This was funnier than many give it credit for and is a who's who of the hip hop community at the time due to featuring many rapper cameos. It is often intentionally corny and one has to truly be a fan of Ed Lover and fat Dr Dre to enjoy this.
3 words, Fat Dr.Dre.
so many cameos of hip hop royalty
1990's finest hip hop comedy with rap's all starz.
The best part of the movie is seeing all the cameos of Rap and Hip Hop stars. The script is lame with very few laughs and the two leads don't add much to the movie. There are a number of interesting actors in small roles such as Dennis Leary and Bernie Mac. Overall skip this not very funny comedy.
One of my favorite movies. Way funny, and good plot line too. =)
Best Rap Comedy ever.
