Margaret Harwood is a young wine expert and the daughter of noted connoisseur Sir Mason Harwood. After discovering a rare and very old bottle, Sir Mason sells it to a collector and calls upon less-than-refined Texan Oliver Plexico to escort Margaret from Scotland to the South of France to deliver it. Unfortunately, conniving scientist Philippe has his eyes on the prized bottle, and is willing to stop at nothing to get it.

William Goldman frequently complained that the picture failed because no one out there cared about red wine. Sounds like sour (and pressed?) grapes to me.

My mom and I have loved this movie since it came out. It's fun, romantic and light hearted. So entertaining, as a movie should be. Watch it and see for yourself.

This is one of my favorite light comedies and although I can appreciate the many criticisms that it received, it certainly doesn't deserve a zero. I honestly think this was one of Penelope Ann Millers best performances and it doesn't hurt that she was quite stunning (and still is) – I have a thing for redheads. I also enjoyed her in "Men of a Certain Age" despite going blonde. Finally, the film score by Hummie Mann was top notch – worth buying on CD in my opinion.
