Tv Season Info

Season 8 of the animated misadventures of CIA operative Stan Smith and his family opens with a rockin' outing as Roger turns the attic into a nightclub and inserts Hayley as the main performer, but when she becomes the star attraction and the toast of Langley Falls, Roger begins to see her in a new light. Later in the season, there's a James Bond parody in which Stan squares off against the vile Black Villain who fatally shot the secret agent's newlywed wife. In his quest for revenge, Stan teams with a former nemesis, the Tearjerker, to track down the killer. The season ended on a stellar note as Klaus discovers his original human body, but Stan refuses to allow him to switch back, so Klaus steps into Stan's body and Stan is rendered a fish.

It's hard for me to personally embrace an American Dad! episode that doesn't have more of Roger, but for this final season premiere, I think I can make an exception

Complaints aside, I still think this was a good, solid, entertaining story.

For now, it just feels like FOX is spinning its animated wheels.

There is enough material in the first two acts to laugh at to tip the scales to success.
