todd Nov 23 The so called expert seemed to be a coward. He got close to one, talked up a game of how dangerous they are to make it seem dangerous. The hippo farted and the guy ran like a chicken. I thought his goal was to catch and nuetar the hippo. The guy is a i want to be famous loser that got a tv show. If you are hired to catch them and neutar them do it. After watching it, i think i really hate him. Did he ever take his backpack off? What a loser. This guy is not an animal expert, he just loves being in front of the camera. I bet when he watches his own show he jerks off to himself. Worst expert on tv. See more Amazonia V Aug 16 Episode 1 Season 1 was disturbing. Why perform surgery on a female hippo to remove her reproductive organs when they can easily sterilize the males by one simple shot so they can stop reproducing? It was pretty foul seeing the female hippo get shot multiple times with tranquilizer just to put her to down so they can perform a surgery on her to remove her reproductive organs/ovary/ovaries. Knowing they were able to spot male hippos with their thermal drone camera yet not think of sterilizing the males by using this method made me question the intentions the host and his team have. So good research there buddy, way to tamper with the drug test. As a researcher you would think that you would want only true facts not lies and stupidity. See more Dan M Aug 7 A fun, easy, low-key watch with likable folks who care about animals. It’s not overly emotional (which is a plus, in my opinion), just a pleasant show with good vibes and some interesting rescues. See more Amanda P Jul 31 Forrest presences himself as an expert the locals are relying on without giving them much credit for their efforts. The camera work is all over the place. At one point in the first episode Forrest is using his shaking hand as a reference to how high his adrenaline was spiking. Guess he didn’t realize he was pointing with his other, extremely stable, hand in the same shot. While the show seems to have good intentions, I question Forrest’s true intentions and if these places are left with any continued long term provisions and support. Hopefully, this isn’t another white man using an NRE/Science degree as an excuse to negate locals and pursue fame. But then again Forrest is known for taking credit for things he didn’t discovered. Decided to look him up after only getting halfway through episode 1, not a fan. See more Read all reviews
