Ash is baaaack! Bruce Campbell reprises his "Evil Dead" film role as heroic, chainsaw-handed monster fighter Ash Williams, now an aging lothario who has successfully avoided responsibility, maturity and heinous villains for the past 30 years. Constantly peering over his shoulder, Ash somehow knew that the Evil Dead would return for him. That day arrives when Ash commits an act of carelessness, unleashing a Deadite plague that threatens to destroy mankind. Co-starring in the half-hour series are Lucy Lawless as mysterious Ruby; Ray Santiago as Ash's loyal sidekick, Pablo Simon Bolivar; and Dana DeLorenzo as moody wild child Kelly Maxwell.

For Evil Dead disciples who've kept the faith all these years, the show is fun enough to make them rethink everything this franchise taught them about dead loved ones who show up on their doorstep, looking better than ever. Go to Full Review

If you're a fan of the mixed-genre genre, this is a cracker, and aficionados of Sam Raimi's original films will love revisiting tropes, touchstones and Raimi's distinctive style. This also works perfectly well for newbies, though. Go to Full Review

Let us now praise Bruce Campbell, the strong-chinned star of The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness and now Ash vs Evil Dead, which splendidly, even triumphantly converts the comedy-horror movie franchise into a TV series. Go to Full Review

Ash vs Evil Dead is just plain all-caps FUN. Granted, it starts off scorching-hot like a flamethrower’d rump roast and cools off a touch in subsequent episodes. Go to Full Review

Insistent on sticking to the roots of old-school techniques over transitioning the series into something it is not, a.k.a. modern-day CGI and special effects. Go to Full Review

Zane M Jan 19 This is the best horror show ever. You have a great cast who are not only really good at acting, but the main 3 (Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago, and Dana DeLorenzo) act really well together and it seems they are actually friends. This seasons story, but specifically the shows overarching story is great. Now lets get into season 1 specifically, the first episode does a great job reintroducing us to the Evil Dead universe. The gore and action in this first episode is just like gore and action in the Evil Dead trilogy. The reason this first episode does all this so well is because it was directed by Sam Raimi. This is definitely the episode that feels most like the Evil Dead (even though they all do). Now about the rest of the season. I really like the roadtrip storyline of this season. I also like the secondary storyline and how the two storylines converge. I can't get much in to the last few episodes of this season because it would spoil it, but lets just say we get some nice fan service. See more Martin S May 17 meilleur série que j ai vu totalement drôle See more Josh A Apr 8 This kind of reminds me of Peacemaker in a sense. It's a gory and entertaining show about an antihero. Well, Ash is more of a hero-hero than an antihero, but you get the point. Also they're tonally similar. To start with, it's an entertaining concept for a sequel to Army of Darkness: Ash is a hero now and accidentally makes someone read from the Necronomicon, hilarity ensues. It makes it self-contained and fits the story. It also basically continues where AOD left off. It fits the entertaining and comedic nature of the show aswell. Also, what truly carries this show is the cast of Ash, Pablo and Kelly. Ash is great, as always, and his chemistry with Pablo and Kelly is believable, with Pablo believing in him more and Kelly being a sceptic. It feels like a proper legacy sequel to Army of Darkness and the Evil Dead trilogy as a whole. Overall, great start to the show. See more Nikoli K Mar 2 Season one was that good. See more James B @James_B 12/20/2024 This series is campy but very funny and entertaining. Bruce Campbell is perfect in this series and does justice to the character.
