Dinosaurs come to life using a renowned team of animators and illustrators, transporting viewers to the prehistoric era to showcase up-to-date discoveries about dinosaurs, their culture and behaviors. The series shows the creatures to be far more active, complex and colorful than ever imagined -- more like birds than plodding reptiles. Among the findings are a host of new behaviors, including exotic mating dances, the inner workings of T-Rex's nuclear family, and the underwater birthing of a Mosasaurus. Also, new creatures introduced are a Jurassic flying squirrel and gigantic frogs.

Caleb N @Calraptor2617 Feb 20 I really liked watching this documentary, but I do have some critiques on how it functions as an accurate depiction of dinosaurs. Some of the scenes portrayed, especially between predator and prey, are pretty unrealistic and portray the dinosaurs has being either goofy and unaware or expressing things like revenge, cruelty or other emotions that are too human. Some dinos are even portrayed as villainous when there was no such aspect among dinosaurs. That, along with the fact it constitutes a lot of the plots, makes the prehistoric world it portrays less believable. But there are good positives: first, I love the diversity of dinosaurs it portrayed throughout history, from Guanlong to Eoraptor to Shunosaurus, and more famous ones with T. rex and Velociraptor. The dinosaurs are anatomically accurate and incredibly detailed as well, and the amount of violence is actually pretty realistic. Some of the dinosaurs are very colorful as well! It had a good direction - it just has some flaws. See more Read all reviews
