Raising two children together and sharing more than 10 years of marriage have taken a toll on Frances, who is suddenly reevaluating her life and the strained relationship she has with her husband, Robert. Friends like Diane, who is successful and has no children, and Dallas, who has been both widowed and divorced, make Frances wonder what she's missed, or is missing. But she soon discovers that making a clean break and starting anew is harder than she thought. "Divorce," a comedy series co-executive produced and starring Sarah Jessica Parker as Frances, follows a middle-aged couple living in the suburbs of New York City as they grapple with the effects of their failing marriage, not just on themselves, but also on their children and friends, ranging from awkward public encounters to difficult private therapy sessions.

Divorce now in its third and final series, has been a sleeper hit, and that's because it has found the magic ingredient of successful sitcoms: a plot that rings true and great comic timing. Go to Full Review

Sure had a lot of fun watching Thomas Haden Church and Sarah Jessica Parker navigate the comedy Divorce... for three seasons. Go to Full Review

What truly continues to carry the show is the very organic bond onscreen between [Thomas Haden] Church and Sarah Jessica Parker, who still play these characters without pretensions of melodrama. Go to Full Review

lucas g @Floral_emissions 09/23/2022 This show is very funny and smart, love the acting, specially SJ Parker, but all the casting i superb. See more lois h @TheBride 11/11/2021 If you can get past the divorcee version of Carrie Bradshaw with spider eyes, too much makeup, and the same annoying lack of self-confidence and serial overthinking, then you'll probably enjoy this series. Given that caveat, this might be entertaining if you can tolerate a fairly constant string of obscenities that add nothing. (this is 1980's vulgarity style). While a comic look at divorce could encourage people to look at the issues with more ease and open-mindedness, don't think it won't conjure up some discomfort. This is about people changing, and the people around them changing, all the time. How open they remain, how well they set boundaries, and how ridiculously difficult those things are, will leave us knowing how difficult we can sometimes make it. Sometimes you just have to take things less seriously in life. See more 09/19/2021 This entire 3 seasons washed over me like warm water. While it didn't provide the same silly grin i had on my face watching Sex in the city, it just felt enjoyable stepping into their world and out of mine. Love the characters and acting. Having been divorced, I appreciate it all the more. I didn't get why henry would be upset Frances didn't mention being asked out by the coach. It was a non moment that blew up. Just saying See more t b @RT58709793 10/02/2019 What happens when you take a pedestrian television show, get rid of all the comedy and make six episodes where pretty much nothing happens? Divorce Season 3. Whether or not HBO continues the series, this relationship is over for me. See more 08/25/2019 Slowing down a bit. Losing the edge, realness. Characters dont seem to have lines as good as last seasons See more Read all reviews
