A household cook attempting to work culinary magic in a dysfunctional kitchen is like an artist creating a portrait with crayons. In "Fix This Kitchen" designer Nicole Facciuto ("Red Hot and Green") teams with a celebrity chef to transform a home's central gathering spot, one plagued by insufficient counter space, unreliable appliances, poor layout and other problems, into an eye-catching, functional space worthy of a gourmet chef. The household cook, nominated by a family member, is then presented the surprise of a complete kitchen makeover.
