There are tricks and treats in this sister show to the seasonal "Holiday Baking Championship." Bakers are tasked with creating spooky treats in Halloween-themed challenges. As the competition heats up, judges -- who have included Lorraine Pascale, Stephanie Boswell, Carla Hall and Zac Young -- eliminate contestants. The best keep moving through rounds as the tasks and challenges become more complicated. The champion of the "Main Heat" gets a $25,000 prize and the prestige of being declared winner of the season's creepiest cooking contest.

Cory M @RT90583104 Dec 3 This season followed a new really horrendous format. The baking show we loved is gone. We don’t need some weird horror-like baking show we need a fun Halloween themed show that brings out the normal natural ways bakers express themselves. These contestants seem like they were pulled out of Dr. Faciliers team of ghouls. Whoever worked on this needs a new job. See more Carol H @RT30642790 Oct 29 I thought this season totally lacked professionalism! When the series started some of the bakers seemed to not know what they were doing. But the worsted was the shenanigans of the winner! I thought this was a baking competion, not a therapy session! I thought the winner played her sympathy card to win, when two other bakers had better cakes!! Everybody has a story, take it to therapist!! Very disappointing! See more Angie C @RT80252948 Oct 4 Worst version of this show EVER. The entire show has a different vibe this season starting with the contestants watching each other be judged and commenting... worst idea...and am not at all impressed with the new cooking station setup, the contestants are annoying and it is overall UNWATCHABLE this season. So bummed. See more Deborah B @RT11997776 Sep 29 I used to love this show but the new format is awful. What were they thinking when they made these dreadful changes? I’ve deleted the series recording. It’s unwatchable. Such a disappointment. See more Tia G @RT86823049 Sep 18 I am so disappointed in the changes. Not fun at all to watch. The bakers seem crazy and animated. Even the judges seem out of place and not happy. Looking forward to watching Halloween wars now. Hopefully, they change everything back before the season ends. Bad way to start off the holidays Food Network. See more David B @RT83138563 Sep 17 What happened to this show? The new format is awful. Having the other contestants constantly commenting during the elimination bake was annoying and feels like everyone was just playing for the camera. Don’t know if I can keep watching if it continues this way. See more Read all reviews
