It's fish-out-of-water humorcall it Western Exposure -- only here the main dude acts like a 6-year-old dunce.

It's decidedly goofy, the performances are winning, and the Harts are a loving if not always happy little family.

[The Harts'] reactions to the dilapidated ex-rancho are mediocre comedy; the first chapter doesn't burn up any laugh meter.

The premise reeks of City Slickers, and the small town near the Harts' ranch is populated by eccentrics who seem to be auditioning for a Bizarro World version of Northern Exposure
