A $25,000 cash prize is up for grabs for hotel owners who demonstrate hospitality at its finest. In an expansion of the popular "Hotel Impossible" brand starring Anthony Melchiorri, each episode of "Showdown" matches four different independently owned properties against one another in the winner-take-all competition. The hoteliers get the chance to roll out the red carpet for their rivals who spend one night at each property, and using an exacting eye for detail, award points for every aspect of their experience. Melchiorri gives viewers an inside look at some of the most unique properties across the country, all while seeing how each hotel stacks up against the rest.
