Andrew Carlson (David Hornsby) has so immersed himself in his weekly etiquette column that he seems to have lost touch with modern society. After his boss threatens his job if he doesn't spice up the column, Andrew decides to hire a life coach. Lucky for him his past holds the perfect person, Bert Lansing (Kevin Dillon), a fitness trainer whose loud and sloppy behavior will surely help balance him out. The two may just find the arrangement will make them both better men. The series is inspired by the book of the same name.

With a little faster pacing and a little more imagination, How To Be A Gentleman could be eminently watchable and perhaps even live up to the promise of its excellent cast. Go to Full Review

CBS's new Thursday night comedy is a relentless pile of stereotypical male reactions, an Odd Couple plot, and 22 minutes of pointless, conventional drivel. Go to Full Review

There's some potential with the strong cast, but it's more of a wait-and-see than a must-see. Go to Full Review

Unfortunately, it seems this may be a case of a mediocre show happening to good people. Go to Full Review

06/23/2016 The acting may seem bad towards the beginning, but it's more the directing. But I actually enjoy the show. I think it's funny enough, but also has a good plot and some heart even (Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker are producers, so no surprise there!) It may not be the best show, but it's only 9 episodes, on Netflix, and makes me laugh enough. And I love Mary Lynn Rajskub! I always thought she was pretty funny in 24! See more Read all reviews
