An update of a 2014 online series "Last Chance High" follows students at Chicago's Moses Montefiore Academy, a school for troubled youth on the city's tumultuous West Side. They are among the most at-risk youth in America, and many of them have been expelled from other schools. Montefiore provides them with one last chance at turning their lives around and avoiding trouble in their adult lives. The 2016 update picks up during Chicago's most violent period in 20 years, following teachers as they try to reach out to former students, many of whom have been diagnosed with behavioral or emotional disorders, to save them from the streets.
